Engelsberg Ironworks is one of the most important industrial monuments in the world and has been listed as a Unesco world heritage site since 1993. Iron was shipped from here to Stockholm and the world beyond via the Strömsholm Canal. A guided tour gives visitors the chance to see the large water wheel in action, which drives the ore crusher in the smelting house, as well as the forge with its huge hammers. 10 % discount per person with Camping Key Europe.
