Arboga is one of Sweden’s oldest towns and was early on a place of importance in the country. Sweden’s very first parliament took place here in 1435. Arboga today contains much that reminds us of the rich history. The well preserved heart of town, classed as an area of international interest is just one example. The old wooden buildings and cobblestone streets and the river give Arboga it’s special atmosphere.
