Welcome to Stegeborgsgården, which is beautifully situated in glorious countryside between two mountains in Vikbolandet and enjoys a view of Slätbaken, the point at which boats begin their journey along the Göta Canal.
Stegeborgsgårdens Camping has 60 large camping plots, most of which have an electricity hook-up. Near the campsite is our bathing area which is perfect for children. A playground with slide, sandpit and swings etc is to be found in the grounds along with a football pitch. In addition, we offer children's activities almost every day during July. At the beach there is a volleyball court. The campsite is perfect for a family holiday.
Every day our restaurant offers a variety of different dishes and on Sundays there are also several specialities on the menu. In the café you can buy home-baked bread and sandwiches, along with coffee, tea and soft drinks. We can also arrange meals and snacks for pre-booked groups and cater for special occasions. At our site, we wish to create an atmosphere free of drugs and other stimulants and so we do not serve anything stronger than low-alcohol beer.
Hiking tracks with fantastic views, and there are also climbing trails of different levels of difficulty. Boats and canoes can be hired from the site. Right next to the site are two nature reserves which contain rare flowers and insects.
At the kiosk, which also serves as our reception, you can buy ice cream, sweets, soft drinks, fruit, newspapers and a small selection of groceries. We also have tourist brochures etc.
Stegeborgsgården belongs to the Evangelical Fatherland Foundation which is an evangelical organisation within the Swedish Church. We offer devotions and services. In addition, we also arrange music evenings and activities for children. "Walking quizzes" and other similar activities are held several days of the week during July. Midsummer Eve with dancing round the maypole, a church service and a concert is the biggest event of the summer.
Stegeborgsgården is open for camps, courses and conferences from 15 January to 15 December. There is a meeting room and a group room. Please contact us for suggestions.
