Ivö Camping is located on the island of Ivö, on the Ivösjön lake, which is the county of Scania's largest lake.
The island's varied nature guarantees its visitors an exciting time. There are fine estates with apple-orchards and fields with different crops. In between the fields, there is grazing land where, cows graze. A large variety of plants enriches the area.
The large kaoline quarries on the north the island tell of workplaces from a long time ago. Kaoline was broken down and freighted on wooden barges to the Ifö works at Bromölla. Sharks' teeth have been found there as well as fossils of giant lizards. It is still possible to make these geological discoveries.
Ivö church, the oldest part of which dates back to the 13th Century, is beutifully situated by Kyrkviken and is a popular church for weddings. There is an abundance of tales concerning this beautiful, legendary island.
The camping is situated close to the ferry service and is ideal for short and long visits. We have pitches both situated near to service and more remote. The camping area includes beach, guest harbour, and two service buildnings. Many activities are available for example mini-golf, children's play area, cafeteria with kiosk and a grocery shop.
