Come and stay on the island of Torpön in Lake Sommen!
Torpöns Camping is on the northern tip of the island close to the ferry terminal. The campsite is situated in picturesque, undulating woodland, with great views of the archipelago landscape and only 100 metres from the water.
To get to Torpön from the north, take Route 32 at Boxholm towards Malexander - Sundsudden via the ferry or from the south take Route 131 towards Tranås or Österbymo - you reach Torpön via the bridge.
Torpöns Camping was started in 1992 and has a well-equipped and clean service building built in 1993. The site and its adjacent activities have been extended, owned and run by a small number of families who live on Torpön.
The campsite is small and cosy with just 48 caravan plots all with electricity available. 25 of these are rented for the whole season at a time. There are also 6 smaller plots for tents and 3 cottages.
Torpöboden which is by the harbour and just 200m away houses the reception and a well-stocked shop. Here you can also rent canoes or rowing boats, buy a fishing licence or, if the fish don't rise to the bait, you can buy some of our own smoked rainbow salmon.
Café Torpöboden - our popular campsite restaurant - offers home-baked biscuits, sandwiches and other light meals. The café's jumbo prawn sandwich and the Torpötallrik with its rainbow salmon are just some of the specialities. The "Victoria" ferry - a fuelling station for boats, a boat ramp and a guest harbour are all part of the
