Come and stay at Skeppsdockan!

Beside the old dock and just by the banks of the Göta Canal, Söderköping's new campsite and youth hostel opened in the summer of 2000. The old canal buildings have been painstakingly renovated and converted into toilet and shower rooms, a reception and a youth hostel. Here you can enjoy the sight of the canal boats close up as they glide peacefully past on Sweden's "blue ribbon", the Göta Canal, or feel the wing-beats of history on a stroll through Söderköping's streets and alleyways.

It's only a short, 1 km walk along the canal to Söderköping. Here you can also rent bicycles, and perhaps go for a long bike ride down the canal's bridle paths which have now been made into cycle paths. Skeppsdockans Camping & Vandrarhem has a sister campsite, Korskullens Camping, which is centrally situated in Söderköping and is under the same management.

Skeppsdockans Camping has fine camping pitches by the Göta Canal. The majority have 10A electrical connections. Here you will find kitchens, WCs, pump-out service for waste tanks (also stationary tanks), a laundry room and free showers.

Hostel

The youth hostel is housed in a former residential building beside Skeppsdockan. We have tried to preserve the old atmosphere. The building has two floors and contains rooms of varying sizes, a communal kitchen and also TV. There is a shower and WC on each floor.

Youth hostel guests can also make use of all facilities in the campsite's service building, which is located a stone's throw from the youth hostel. The rooms are equipped with sturdy furniture made by hand from trees that grew along the Göta Canal. The kitchen in the building has household utensils for self-catering and outside there is outdoor furniture. You will stay here at affordable rates!
