Welcome to Oknö – a beautiful skerry island in the bay of Kalmarsund with one road connection only.
The camping and holiday complex Regenbogen Mönsterås has 130 pitches, of which 100 dispose of electricity, 23 holiday cottages and 10 Holli holiday homes.
On the campsite you will find minigolf, a tennis court, boat rent, possibilities for fishing, a BBQ hut and possibilities for sailing and surfing. The restaurant “Das Landhaus” is in the centre of the holiday complex and invites you to spend a pleasant time with culinary specialties and excellent wines. In the summer time you can enjoy warm evenings on the cosy terrace with view on the sea, the playground and the boat harbour.
Those who love it a little more relaxed and seek for recreation should allow themselves a quiet time-out in our spacious wellness area with the charming name “Paradies” which you can find right besides the restaurant. Enjoy yourself during a massage or a beauty treatment from our experienced wellness team or have regenerating moments in the varied sauna landscape. Perhaps you would also like to read a good book and chill in the cosy quiet rooms or on the outdoor terrace of the wellness area.
The park-like campsite stretches across a thousand meters and is located on a small hill, surrounded by pines and juniper trees. Most pitches offer a breathtaking view on the sea.
The sanitary facilities are covered with tiles and clinker bricks. You will find a baby-care-room with a children’s restroom, basins and a baby’s changing table. In the wash room for dishes you will find stoves and a microwave. It is also furnished with a washing machine, a dryer and ironing possibilities.
On the island you will also find several playgrounds and bathing places with swimming piers as well as benches and tables for a cosy picnic in the countryside.
It’s getting musical in Mönsterås in spring: The Blues & Roots festival attracts approximately up to 20,000 people every year who come into the small port city to see local and international blues musicians. In summer the traditional midsummer celebration takes place on Oknö Island, as well as “Hultsfred music festival” and “Vis festival”.
The shopping mile Storgatan in Mönsterås is famous for its small boutiques in an idyllic setting. In case of bad weather, visit the adventure pool “Vattenpalatset” in Mönsterås.
