You'll find Sandskogen's Camping at the point where the city leaves off and the piny woods take over. We are two families who operate the campground together with the goal of making sure your stay here will be a positive experience.
You can brush your teeth and shower in our new, fresh service facility. And after morning ablutions, if you want to enjoy newly baked bread as the first rays of the sun warms the morning, you need only fetch it at our well-supplied shop.
Should you need tips for excursions goals, just visit our reception. While there you can also ask us about area restaurants. High season at the campground is marked by a glorious tumble of people, of children's activities and turns on the dance floor.
Why not challenge your neighbour to a round of billiard golf and let the looser pay for the next round of … whatever?
And which of the children dare to go with the witch?
Should you want to take a bicycle tour, we have both ordinary and not so common bikes for hire. Then you can take them out to swim and sun as one should in the summer. Especially here with the well-known Ystad sand beach nearby.
Ystad is a cosy city, known for its half-timbered houses, its cobble-stone streets and its picturesque settings. Its tower guard will easily transport you back in time when he blows his horn as darkness begins to fall over the streets.
The ferries that ride off to Bornholm and Poland serve as a reminder that you are close to the continent. But there are many excursion goals nearby.
You can experience the legendary ship tumulus called Ales stenar, Ale's Rocks, and visit the small fishing hamlet Kåseberga to taste its newly smoked fish.
Then continue along the coast to Skillinge and Brantevik, hamlets too and picturesque in their own right. The City of Simrishamn is also well worth the visit.
Finish your tour with a ghost evening at the Medieval castle Glimmingehus - the visit will scare the strongest! Do as many artists have - discover the special Österlen district light. These goals and many more can be found at a comfortable distance from Sandskogen's Camping.
