Celebrate a real Swedish Midsummer!
Lagunen always celebrates Midsummer by the sea. During the day we pick beautiful flowers to make traditional wreaths and prepare for dancing and singing

Performances by the folk musicians Hogdals Spelmanslag and the folk dancers Nolhottens folkdanslag begin at 3pm.
After that, everybody dances around the Midsummer pole to the tunes of the accordion and sings along to “Små grodor” (Little frogs) - it would not be a real Midsummer without them. After dancing the games begin, and there is ice cream for all children wearing flower wreaths. In the evening “Hotter than July” plays at the restaurant.

As a guest at Lagunen campsite, you are near to everything. The restaurant, shop and places to swim are all within walking distance, and one of our five service buildings is always close by.

Our camping areas are located in an exciting terrain surrounded by a wonderful combination of mountain, forest and sea. On warm summer days, smaller children can cool off on one of our two beaches, while older children will enjoy swimming out to one of our jumping attractions located in the cove.

The distance to Strömstad centre is 3 km and there is a bike path running the whole way. This year Lagunen has built its own tunnel under the road making it a safe passage for everyone.

Lagunen is open all year round. During spring, autumn and winter, Strömstad and Koster still have much to offer. Many say it is the best time of year, not to mention more affordable!

During the summer season we recommend that you book a campsite to ensure that you get a space.

All hot water, except showers, is free. Most of our lots are approx. 100m2 and are equipped with modern camping sockets meeting EU standards. We have both 10 and 16 amp sockets. Most have TV plug-ins (Svt, TV4 & NRK). Some lots also have water and sewage connections.

During the spring and autumn, we offer residential fishing and kayaking programmes at weekends. The sea and archipelago are at the most beautiful during these two seasons.

We arrange adventure days in the archipelago. Companies and other groups appreciate our kayaking programmes and the chance to stay in the archipelago. Contact pelle@lagunen.se for more information.

Lagunen offers a wide selection of different accommodation options. We have cottages and rooms of different sizes and at different rates. All our units are newly built or newly renovated.
