Främby Udde Strandby is situated in beautiful natural surroundings. Our family-owned campsite has only recently opened and is open all year. We have a licensed restaurant, conference facilities and a variety of enjoyable and exciting activities on and around Lake Runn.
Our campsite is only 4 km from Falun town centre and just as close to Falun's World Heritage Falun copper mine. Främby Udde is a very picturesque area, with many different activities available.
We purchased new 6-bedded Flybo-cottages of a very high standard in January 2007, including double beds, shower/wc, proper kitchen, TV and Internet connection.
The reception and fully-licensed restaurant are situated in the magnificent wholesaler villa ('Grosshandlarvillan') from 1897. Conferences and entertainments can be arranged here.
Our newly-built Marina has moorings for about 30 of Lake Runn's pleasure boats. Lake Runn is often called 'the archipelago lake', with its 80 or so islands and its 4000 pleasure boats. Lake Runn also offers very good pike fishing.
Our campsite has a bathing beach, playground, playing field, beach volleyball, bathing barrel. Canoes, kayaks and boats for hire. Close to horse-riding centre.
In the winter we have excellent, well-prepared tracks for long-distance skating, and we also have long-distance skates for hire. Close to slalom slope.
Our 43 camping pitches and approximately 15 tent pitches are right on the shore of the Southern side of Lake Runn. The camping pitches are all of a good size and equipped with electricity and wireless Internet.
