Skantzö Bad & Camping is easy to find, only 3 km north on the E18 in Hallstahammar between the Kolbäck river and the Strömsholm Canal, whose locks provide the camping site with an extra attraction.
There's plenty to see and do when you stay at Skantzö, including the Åsby Gardens with their 4,500 plant species or Åsby Kött & Vilt, where you can buy perfect meat for barbecues. Adjoining the camping site is the Skantzen Canal Museum, which shows artefacts from the canal's history. It is also a local homestead museum where midsummer is celebrated, traditional country games are played and entertainment is laid on every Wednesday evening during July.
The site is less than 1 km from the centre of Hallstahammar, where you can buy all your everyday wants.
