This first class family site is situated just ten minutes drive from Luleå which nowadays is not just a university town, famous for sports, but also has a great deal to offer in terms of shopping, leisure and recreational activities.

At the campsite you have the chance to swim in the Arcus heated poolarea with a wave machine and slide, or in the waters of Luleä river. There is also a mini-supermarket, a licensed restaurant, mini golf, cycle, pedel-cars and kayak hire and a well-equipped playground. There is everything from a play cottage which is staffed and a playground for younger children to a somewhat more advanced adventure trail for older children.

Not far from the canoeing site is the Arcus-Hall, a large sports and conference venue. There they have a full-size football pitch with artificial grass, which can also be used for other sports, not to mention an almost complete athletics arena. You can also play floor ball, use in-lines and much else besides. You can also book the Arcus-Hall for conferences, training camps, trade fairs etc. Next-door to the Arcus-Hall is the tennis hall which has both indoor and outdoor courts.

Luleå and the surrounding area have much to offer a visitor. Only a short distance away is Gammelstads kyrkstad, a well-preserved church village, which has been on Unesco's World Heritage List since 1996. A site of cultural interest which is well worth a visit. The archipelago outside Luleå is another fascinating destination for an excursion. The outlet of the two large rivers causes brackish water which creates a unique environment for plants and animals. About two km away from First Camp Luleå is Storheden, a large shopping area where you can shop in OBS Stormarknad, Jula, Rusta, Biltema, Intersport, Hennes & Mauritz, OBS Stormarknad, ICA Maxi, Elgiganten, Granngården and many more shops besides.

While you are in Norrbotten, don't miss the opportunity to visit Teknikens Hus (the House of Technology) which is on the university campus. It is a treasure trove for anyone of any age interested in technology.
