Reduced fee for cyclists and during the off-peak season in May and the beginning of June. During the winter, plots with electricity hook-ups must be booked in advance, but are more freely available in the summer. The campsite has its own children’s playground.
In the winter, we offer skiing for all different categories of skier. You have access to both cross-country tracks (40 km of marked tracks)and downhill (5 lifts, 24 slopes). The slopes range from green to black in difficulty and there is also off-piste skiing on the Svarta Björn. You can even be dropped high-up by helicopter from the nearby Norrlandsflyg helicopter base.
Other winter activities included caving, ice-climbing, dog-sleighing, snowmobiling, trips by tracked vehicle to Laktå mountain station, guided snowmobile tours and ice-fishing in the late winter. In the summer, Björkliden is ideal for mountain rambling as the centre is right at the foot of the mountains. The vast alpine open spaces are just around the corner.
The hundred-year-old Rallavägen that passes Björkliden on its way up to Rombakksbotn on the Ofotfjorden in Norway is great for rambling and mountain-biking. Guided tours to Kåppashåla, one of Sweden?s largest cave systems, are arranged several times a week.
Björkliden also boasts the world’s most northern golf course!
There are a number of game fishing lakes (char, trout and grayling) within walking distance for those interested in angling. Fishing licences can be bought in the shops and at the centre reception. For the young children, we have a free activity club called Lämmelklubben.
