Ramsvik Stugby & Camping

In the outskirts of the Bohuslän archipelago, 10 km north of Smögen lies cosy Ramsvik Camping. The surroundings of sea, sandy beaches and sun-drenched cliffs make Ramsvik to a perfect place in which to enjoy Bohuslän. The campsite itself is bubbling with life and activity but just five minutes walk into the cliffs you'll find yourself all alone in a magnificent landscape. The campsite has its own beach. The water is salty and clear. The cottages are within 100 m of the sea, some of them with sea-views.

Countryside
Ramsvikslandet is a peninsula, separated from the mainland by the Sote Canal. The whole peninsula is a nature reserve with a rich flora and extensive rambling country. You can walk high up in the magnificent hilly landscape of Bohus granite or along the salt-stained water's edge. Those of you who want to sunbathe and go swimming undisturbed can easily find your own private place among the bays and cliffs that run along the whole edge of Ramsvikslandet. There are plenty of fish and fishing is free, without a license. The cliffs make for excellent spinning and you can hire a boat at the campsite.

Activities
Ramsvik Camping, the only campsite on Ramsvikslandet, is famous for its large range of activities and festive entertainments for the whole family. Here are some examples from the weekly programme: Shrimp evening with dancing, BBQ party, fishing trips, hire a boat, canoe or pedalo, rag-hockey tournament for children, disco up to 16, beach party, boat trips, volleyball, quiz walks, crab rally and two annual parties. Pirate and troll parties, with fireworks and competitions for all the family. Our party evenings have become annual traditions that attract guests back to us year after year. Ramsvik is a modern campsite with the service you expect in the form of toilets, showers, sauna, laundrette, kiosk, hot-dog and fast food stand and mini-market with freshly baked bread.
There is a modern sanitary building with showers, laundry room, kitchen and baby changing room. The sauna is big and has a sea view! Right by the beach, there is a restaurant with a unique panoramic view of Ramsviksfjärden, Hunnebostrand and the inlet to Sotenkanalen and all its lively boat traffic.

Down on the quay, just 10 m from the sea and the crab fishing jetty and 20 m from the beach and the playground, there are four cottages ("Beach cottages") built with wheelchair-bound guests in mind. All the boathouses have a toilet, handbasin and water/drain in the kitchenette.
