The summer paradise of Sandviken is a true gem on the shores of Lake Storsjön – a summer idyll in the interior of Norrland, just 4.5 km from central Östersund. The area boasts magnificent nature, proximity to the water and fantastic views, and simply has to be experienced!
Enjoy a comfortable stay at Sandvikens Camping in one of our cottages or your own tent or caravan. Some of the cottages are suitable for use in winter and can be rented all year round. The main site is open between May and September.
Something for all ages!
The site offers something for all ages and interests. There are large grassy areas for playing and games, and you can borrow equipment for boules, badminton, rounders and other games.
You can enjoy an invigorating swim or go fishing, either from the jetty or a boat. Dances are organised most Fridays through the summer and are popular with guests and local residents alike. The area also boasts good cycle paths, so you can enjoy fantastic bike rides in beautiful surroundings. If you want to indulge in a great meal, why not stop off at our fully licensed restaurant?
There are also a number of interesting visitor attractions to explore close to the campsite, such as Jamtli local history museum, Arnljotspelen open-air theatre and Moose Garden.
